its not all mine ,its a combined effort,with my neighbor,I got seed for two rows,that should be plenty for us,he and his relatives will harvest the rest, His grandma is still using potatoes from last fall that we harvested,and the early ones I planted for her are almost ready to dig,it was a goal I always wanted to acheive,not because we have to,but some day we may have to and it will be to late to see if it can be done then

Dang, that is alot of spuds. Hope you are going to be able to use that tater digger this year.

I just finished digging ours today, two rows maybe a third the length of yours. Didn't have a big yield but they taste good.

Also eating on the Ambrosia sweet corn. Had to haul water from the pond for the garden this year because mother nature doesn't think veggies need H2O.

Did you plant all of the corn on the same day?
I like to plant 3-400 every Sat for a 5-6 weeks.

Larry,

Do you have Colorado Potato Beetles at all?

I plant 3 rows about as long as yours and it seems like I spend more time "weeding" the beetles than I do with anything else in my garden. Well, except for maybe that darn Purslane.

Same here in Maine. If you're not licensed for the "good stuff" you can NOT beat the beetles. I just gave up on taters altogether.

We get the potato beetles and leafhoppers too. Both seem bad where I am but I do grow alfalfa, which draws in the leafhoppers. Nothing I spray slows down the beetles, just picking them off, sometimes 2x per day.

In the past, I had problems w/potato beetles. Then came a time when the city would grind up all the disposed Christmas trees in January. I used that mulch to spread on the garden. Haven't had potato beetles since. Coincidence? Don't know----
