IH 560 Hydra Touch valve

Just replaced the main hyd. pump in the 560, everything tests good for pressure and bypass valve operation. The Tele-depth valve works good and the first Hydra Touch valve is pretty good, i have it set on single action and operate my loader up,single action loader cyl.
My second Hydra Touch control is operating the bucket with two way cyl (rebuilt), when i first run the bucket it works pretty good, but after awhile it seems to loose travel in the lever and feels like it has "back pressure" on the valve so it does not operate up or down well, lever only moves a small amount from neutral and bucket moves very slow but plenty of power.
Is this an o ring issue, a spool, a orifice??? They no longer sell the rebuild kit or the valve and i hate to swap it out if I dont need to.
Thanks,
Craig

If your issue is in the valve itself , not a coupler or check valve restriction problem, I would guess the unlatching piston in the valve has the orfice peened partially shut . This will cause valve to fight you when trying to move it. The unlatching piston with a slot and orfice in it is on the end of valve with the two bolt cover so you can inspect with out tearing valve out. It is rare but have seen it happen.

Thank you Pete, I will pull the front cover and take a look (cover closest to the seat). Should i run a .040" drill bit through the hole?
Is there an easy way to pull the whole valve assembly out with leaving the valve body in the tractor so I can put it on a bench and clean it up and inspect it?
Thanks again
Craig
