Sposeta rain tomorrow and monday so cutting my little bitta hay is out... So we decided to let the boys earn their keep a little...... Nice weather and a little warm but cool in the woods.....

Beautiful pics. Daughter is envious of your wife's horse... well both horses, actually. She really wants one - we told her she can have one, when she owns her own place in the country.

These guys have it made......Waited on hand and foot and have to carry us around a couple hours a month....Hers is the first one we got .... We breed quarterhorses so he's a quarter horse too (quarter haflinger, quarter trakener, quarter warmblood, quarter coldblood)... The dun I'm on is out old stallion, we took him outta the gene pool and the stress of the women... We just sold his replacement yesterday and have his last son that seems to be a good prospect....

I believe it's rye... The purple stuff looks kinda like alfalfa but I don't know what it is.....
Don't know the purpose other than for bees and browsers, but most all fields have something mixed in.....
Wheat is either poppies or daisies (?), Rye and barley usually has this purple stuff in it......
