If so, then we must all thank God he is alive. When I saw that picture I got chills. It's becoming more of a problem, lately. This is not a good time to get on my high horse about overcrowded roads and speed limits that are ignored, but, I just can't help but think how this problem is getting worse. Instead, I'll focus my prayers on a full recovery for him and wish your family the best.

I am also reminded of how I must thank God that I, nor anyone else was hurt when I was hit by a truck, head-on, on my tractor. My sister was standing a few feet from teh roadside with her infant baby in teh car beside her. How no one got hurt that day, I still don't quite understand.

I earnestly wish him the best.

Yes, that is the wreck I was referring to. Thank you bunches for your concern and prayers. The impact threw him off the tractor, or who knows. The Lord was indeed with him!!

Truly a miracle to get out of that alive. What model tractor was that? Assuming that the ROPS failed from the severity of the crash?

My prayers certainly go out to him. If he would have had a rops and was belted in he still would have been whipped around severly. Maybe being thown was the best thing in this situation. Anyway, it's a very bad situation and I hope he can come out of it OK. When I was in my young teens I had to help pull a severly injured man out from under a tractor and carry him out of the ditch to the ambulance. You never forget that. Jim

Versus a semi, a roll bar would only do so much. It's a roll bar and they are usually rated for 1 1/2 times the tractor weight in a roll over. A high speed collision with a truck is a far cry from a roll over. I bet the roll bar would have crumpled up and/or snapped all the bolts off in that collision. A seat belt may have killed him in this instance. Sure hope he recovers.

Hope he recovers well...

Don't forget to keep after the Police, to Charge the truck Driver...
GET a Copy (Photo-Copy) of his Log Book entries for that day and the prior Week...
There are far too many Jokers out there NOT fit to drive a tricycle.....
Man, that wreck looks awful..
"BEST WISHES" for his Recovery...
Ron..

Seems to be a lot of people out there who are certain that safety equipment kills and maims more people than it protects.
