I have an Oliver OC3 crawler-loader that has an Oliver super 166D power unit installed instead of the gas unit originally used. I was told it is a Waukesha four cyl. diesel. It has a cracked head. I would like to get a replacement, but don't know which engine this is. Any ideas?

I assume you know that OC3s came with Continental ZD-129 diesels IF diesel. In the crawlers, the Waukesha was only used in the OC6 (six cylinder, not four).

Hough payloaders used basically the same engines as your Oliver 166 power unit.

If it was mine, I'd put a Hercules gas engine in it rather then source out scarce diesel engine parts. I have an OC3 with the Continental disel and also an OC4 with the Hercules diesel. Parts for either are near impossible to find and same goes for the Waukesha diesels.

I'll assume the head from the more common Waukesha 180 diesel will fit, but I'm not 100% sure.
