craigslist guru's???

Hey folks,
We're looking for a new stallion and want to try craigslist. Is there a way of searching USA wide, or at least by State or region?

About a month ago CL shut down all of these multi-area search sites. They used to do a live search on the individual craigslists and show the results on one page. Now they all just display google results or results of some other search engine. Wish they wouldn't have done that. I'm right on the border of 3 craigslist areas and have to search them all individually now.
 
Go to your favorite city home page of Craigs List. Move to the right side highlighted in light blue. You can make a selection of Ci worldwide, or Americas and do your search.

IllHaveAnother is available!
 
On searchtempest, select "Direct Results" format and you can get functionality similar to the old searchtempest. It won't be one page but it lets you quickly flip from CL to CL by clicking on a button.

I actually search MORE CL's now with the Direct Results format than I did with the old all-on-one page mode.
 
Try dreamhorse.com- its a national listing, kind of upscale. I clicked on their "Listed in last 72 hours" button and got almost 1200 hits. You could refine your search to find most any kind of horseface you want.

Seems like craigs list would be more the "free to good home" types, but haven't looked.
 
The Feds just just took a big QH ranch out west that one of the Mexican drug cartels were running there money thru.
Might be a bunch on the surplus list soon.

We have 4 mares from the States... All were found in local newspapers/bulletins (google hits) and at better prices with as good or better quality (pedigrees to our likes/wants) than what we found on target ad sites... Just thought CL may be a little easier target than opening a bunch of hits that are useless.....

Not sure but think the stage play had the same state name.

Buying a horse via craigslist from a different continent is what I'd call deliberate risk-taking. But if that's what you want to do, searchtempest will do the job.

Yea, but we stay as far away from them as possible.... We deal only with AQHA in texas except for the equipasses and microchips have to be stamped off by AQHA Germany.....

Most of the horses you find here are too hyper and freaky for our taste which is why we import breeders from the States......
We've got an outstanding stallion (1 year old) from our own breeding, but he is out of our first mare we bought here and just won't be as cool/level headed as what we have found the boonies.....

Not everyone is a crook..... We have 4 mares that we bought with only pedigree and pictures... Risky, but you gotta follow your gut. Those are the best mares we have.....
