These would have been around 1939 or 40. One is Uncle Earl on the 70 with dual 8x40 rubber. You didn't see that much back then.
The other is Grandpa with the 70 and manure spreader. The duals were on it then too, just not as easy to see.
Real pioneers in tractor inovation.

They were right here on this place! If I had one more 11x40 I'd put duals on the 70 I have now.
Here's a shot that shows the back side of the house.
Uncle Earl with a horse he'd just bought from Burt Ricks.
A woman stopped here a few weeks ago with an old tin type of her ancestors out in front of the house taken in 1887.

Good pics! That old 70 looks like evry other working tractor of that era--chain wrapped around the drawbar or rear axle. Standard farm equipment!

Yep,they did a TON of custom work with that old gal. Everything from plowing in the spring to combining with an AC 60 All-Crop combine to chopping with a Gehl chopper with a motor on it.

rr, nice pictures, bet you wish that old 70 was still in the family. there is a pair of 11-40s in the photo adds today off a 70 in ohio. the guy's name is brent and the number is 419-204-0846. chuck
