Finally got all my 1st cutting done. Got tired of fooling with the Gehl 1400 baler & bought a N.H. 845. Finished up what was left yesterday (49) bales. They're not as pretty as the Gehl made when it would bale, but they're all round LOL. Still gonna work on the Gehl some more, it ain't gonna keep me stumped. Keith

Haven't even started. My cousin cut some the day before yesterday and said if he'd have walked out there and checked it first,he wouldn't have even cut it.
I checked some yesterday,it's improving, but I probably won't cut any til next week.
The oats are heading out though. The way things are going, they'll be ready by the time I'm done haying.

Haven't even got started yet. Listened to the weather idiots over Memorial Day weekend, shouldn't have, they kept saying rain, it never did.

Hoping to get started here in a day or two though...

If that is a chain baler you need to drive the tractor like you had just drank a 12 pack of bere. Not saying to drink and use the tractor just saying you need to keep going back and forth across the windrow and also if you do not want a real heavy bale run in a bit higher gear. I found with my 850 if I ran in 1st with my Oliver S88 the bale was way to tight and way to heavy so learned to run in 3rd and that makes a good heavy bale but not so heavy as to cause lifting problems with the loader.
Note to any body who wants to say any thing about my heavy bales go away and mind your own bees wax

I've been on here but haven't posted too much. Really have been pretty busy this spring. I did bale in 3rd low side on the Massey 255 & yep, you're right Old, Heavy bales. Have a good one, Keith
