Winterstieger Combine

The fellow that owns the farm we have our club meetings and show at told me last night that he had bought a older (1960's)Winterstieger combine.
He tells us that it was designed as a small plot combine, has a 4-5 ft. header, that it is self propelled and powered by a VW air cooled engine.
Has anyone here had any experience with one?
I am very curious to see it!

Can't help with any useful info, but I saw a couple of very small combines in test plots at the U. of Saskachewan (Saskatoon?) 8 or 9 years ago. Maybe someone familiar with them will respond.

Where are you from in Washington?

Wintersteiger still makes plot combines. We actually have some at work. The ones we have a walker machines divided down the middle with a Sisu 6 cyl diesel.

I've heard of both Kenworth and the 737, etc...lol.

We've spent time at Bothell, Anacortes and Mt. Vernon at one time or another in our travels. Got the worst haircut I ever had in Anacortes.

Have a good day/evening/whatever,

We have a few German made WEG plot combines in the area(mostly retired now) they are tiny self propelled machines with an air cooled VW engine.

A seed company, with test plots near West Salem,
Wisconsin, has a very small combine,I estimate
4 foot cut, viewed while driving bye.
