Took A Tumble Today

I was welding some patches on floor of one of or dump trailers today and when finished I went to step from back of trailer to tailgate of pickup truck. Foot missed it completely and I fell on the tailgate and a piece of 1ftx3ft sheet metal standing on edge that caught me under the arm. Then to the ground.I just don't bounce as good as I use to. Don't feel to bad now but I spect I'll be sore in the morning.

Don't know your age, but I'm pushing 70 I need to be very careful what I do. I lost my footing staining on the wheel of my JD while filling the fuel tank. I managed to hold on to the 5 gal can, as I went down. I was working for a company, if they found a drip of diesel on the ground they would have called out the men in the white suits to clean it up. (Almost that bad.) Stan

Kinda like my first pair of bifocals. Only had them a couple of days and stepped from the floor of a trailer to the tongue, made that step ok, but when I looked down as I stepped off the tongue to the ground those danged bifocals shifted and I lost my balance. I managed to keep from falling completely, but I invented a few new dance steps in the process.
Hope you don't suffer any serious results from your fall.

I hate when that happens!

13 years ago, I fell off the roof of the garage while we were building our house, 7 years ago, I fell off a ladder in my shop, 5 years ago, I crashed on some icy steps while inspecting a house, etc.

I feel your pain.

A tough fall. The drop from one scaffold plank to the next is the longest 1.5 inches in the world. Get well soon. Jim

That's for sure. I"ve got a big round bale carrier trailer that has what I call a "tricycle front end" for the front wheels and axle. Sometimes when you park the trailer the front end is on uneven ground and one wheel or the other will be "off" the ground. A couple times I"ve stepped off that trailer onto one of those tires and that dang thing will throw you like you wouldn't believe! Dang that hurts when you hit the ground!

Almost 3 yrs ago, ladder slipped. I was only on the 2nd rung and just stepped off. Was on uneven ground and fell backwards. Broke my wrist. First broken bone in my life.
