First tomatoes

Picked my first tomatoes today; don't know if I've ever had tomatoes in May before.

I would have let them ripen a bit more, but the giant turtle already had his eye on them (not to mention the red birds.)

Where you at?? Your plants look to have a couple weeks on my plants and I had to worry about a few days of frost to boot. I have a number of small green ones but none showing signs of turning red yet

Ya your a lot farther south then I am. Here in Missouri there is no longer any worries of frost but the first of May we had a few days or frost so had to cover things up. I do think this is the first time I got the garden in as early as I did

Nice!Got One Juuuussst about Ripe mysely... Seen, from what I heAr that everyones garden is doing somewhat better than previous yrs.. I'm in N. ga. Larry

I just helped dad put the plants in the ground yesterday. We are a little behind but we should still see a good crop with 60 tomato plants and 60 peppers. plus all our other stuff.

I have been getting a few ripe tomatos in my garden in SE Ok. However the tarrapiins are eating them as soon as they begin to blush. I guess i will have to start killing the box turtles. Roy

been picking tomatoes for a month now. the worms have worked them over hard this year and the heat is taking it's toll as well. Probably only have a few weeks left of harvest.
I hope that was a joke about the box turtles.
