Yesterday there were two msgs here, one about "Special thanks", another about Viet Nam "missing in action", etc. Also a reference to Army SOG, and a book about "SOG". In my previous post in one of those msgs I mentioned six friends that died in Nam. Two of them were in SOG- Studies and Observations Group. They were recon,in Laos and Cambodia, when the US was not officially there. Boronski- top right on the monument and Sisler, awarded the MOH, buried in Dexter, MO, all three of us went through Special Forces demolitions engineer training at Ft. Bragg,NC,in Spring 1965.

Both of them are detailed in a book called "Secret Commandos", written by John Plaster....an excellent read, detailing what all the recon teams went through in planning and completing their missions.

John Boronski was BNR for 29 years, after the exfil chopper got blown out of the sky by an RPG. His name is on the Arlington marker, along with Jerry Pool, and 5 others. Better half and I visited Springfield, Ill last summer, I saw the Ill Nam Memorial, recognized Pool"s name as an MIA. Emailed the Ill VietNam cmte, saying,....Jerry is no longer MIA, ....he is home, in Arlington. RIP. All of them are my American Idols!
