Our field corn is up! After how dry it was this week and me planting it Monday didn't think I'd see it for a while. But it all came up. I put the rear cultivators on my Super M and would have mounted the fronts but a big thunderstorm rolled in. Now we have the rain we needed plus a lot more we probably didn't need but I'm not complaining. I am pretty happy as this is our first year actually farming. Thanks to all who have helped me this far.-Keith

You can save a lot of soil moisture if you don't cultivate, and spary for weeds instead. Did you plant RR or LL corn?

I'm hoping we don't have to worry bout moisture. Western PA we have a good bit of rain, but no it's not RR. WE are doing it the old way. It's only 3ish acres so we will see how it goes.

My corn is up too. Planted it a couple of days before we were supposed to get rain--never did. Ground is light and sandy. Also planted cowpeas. Can't wait for them to come up. I used my 2-row planter with 13" rows--or close to that.

Yes it is, and growing well! We definitely could use a rain. I"ve been listening to it grow for a month
