Pounding the house and rattling the dishes in the rack as I write this. Rain and hail to beat hail if you know what I mean.
God must be welding up there with all the flashes.
Sheesh!
Poor little dog is cowering under my desk and looking for some love and protection from it all.
Gonna give her some loving here. Good thing I had the windows closed...

4 acres of hay went into the barn this evening. Rain storms came down fron the NW last night and split to both sides of our area(York Co), so the hay stayed dry. Tonight, its a nice gentle rain. Luckily, I didn"t mow more. Third year in a row we had T-stormy weather on Memorial day weekend. What"s up with that?

Neighbor has 4 acres of my pasture laying on the ground getting rained on as I type this near Gettysburg. He will ted it once or twice and probably go up OK, not as nice as it could, unless we get another storm before he can bale it.

Fella in the area cut all his alfalfa field - maybe 25 acres? That pretty good size for around here.

Cut it a week ago.

Tonight is the 3rd heavy rain on it.

Typical shade of brown today, before this rain.

Going to be some days before the ground dries out enough to rake & bale the junk out of the way.

Think this is the 3rd year in a row I've seen that field rained on hard after cutting it. he's got a better average than the weathermen. Poor guy.

Drier than dust here in Eastern Iowa. We got about 1/4 inch the other day, that is it for a month.

I just love to watch a good thunder and lightening storm. My big black dog turns into a big baby two hours before it happens.

Been watching the radar here in NWIA and it's a comin my way slowly. 9:29PM Omaha radar shows it rolling up from Kansas in a steady stream of yellows and reds. Jim

Guess tornado alley has moved up north since I have yet to have a good April or May thunder storm this year and for that matter I do not remember the last storm watch we have had here. Sure wish we would get some rain since it is about as dry as the dust bowl years down this way

We were under flash flood warnings this AM because we got about 5" last night about 25 miles east of Fergus Falls. We could do with a few days of sun.

They just turned the flash flood watch into a flash flood warning for my area. Some areas around me got 1-3 inches of rain already; another 1-3 inches is on the way. One cell after another.

I guess they won't be tiling my field on Tuesday, either? There were 2 water ponds in it already from the rain a day & a half ago..... Well just as well it's not planted, wouldn't be good beans anyhow.

Picure perfect day here in Central NY. Clear skies, high of 82F this afternoon. Light clouds moved in at dusk. We have had some nice rains during the past week and corn and beans have been germinating in 5 to 8 days.

We have not had any rain in three weeks. Corn is hurting bad. It seem to split and go west of us or east.
