i have a i4 phone that i had scene it was relished but its sorta small for my old eyes i thinking about new i-pad with wi-fi any one use one in there job i like being able to look up parts before i call dealer seem to save time

Get one. SWMBO gave away her Dell notebook after she got her iPad2. It has some limitations (and some great features) but she's very happy with it.

You're going the right way, iPad will be a big improvement for you, ou;ll like it.

Those that have a laptop and want to try a iPad might get disappointed by the limitations if they were expecting a full fledged computer.....

They are great for portability but at home I prefer a desk top.

I have an iPad 2. It "s the third one in 6 months. Don"t waste
your money. Be prepared to be on permanent-hold with
Apple.

An iPad works okay if all you need is a browser. I'd look at other tablets if you have wifi available though. One problem with an iPad is that it's expensive and fragile. You need to guard it carefully so it doesn't get stolen or dropped.

office is dumping computers and going with all ipads... ok but a bit tough to type on.. get a bluetooth keyboard and you will like it much better.

I've got an iPad 2 they're as durable as any tablet and
probably more durable than a folding laptop, which I will never
have another. I have a griffin case on mine it's military rated to
be dropped and to be used in the rain. I use mine as a shop
manual all the time it gets nasty but cleans easily. I don't know
I'd get another apple product just because it costs more for
anything you download than android stuff does. The big
problem I had was uploading pictures to the photo adds here
on yt so I use my phone when I need to. I would get a griffin
case for anything though they have a great product.

Going from an iPhone to an iPad will be allot easier. I'm on an iPad typing this now. Still slow tying without a keyboard but allot easier to read.

I suspect you've already figured out how much easier apple operating systems are. If you like the iPhone, you'll like the iPad.

I don't have one, but I have a apple I phone, I don't even
touch my desktop anymore. Ya phone is small, but dial up
sucks. 3G kicks but! I don't think u can go wrong with an I
pad. As they say, Steve Jobs gave us a computer in our
pocket with the I phone!

We finally got wyfi last November and since things changed for
the better. Wife bought me an ipad2 it"s great even though I
had an iPhone with 3G this is so much better. No issues with
either.

I have the new IPhone 4s. No more typing anything. Voice for almost everything.
