I have an older model 1086 IH tractor that I want to put up for sale but am unsure as to what a fair asking price would be - I have installed new batteries and replaced a couple of other parts since I bought it back in 2005 from an older gentleman who is no longer farming - it has run well for me

Its probably worth about what you paid for it.You really cant expect to get the 'upgrades' paid for...Thats part of the "cost of ownership".Remember that its older(pushing 40)and has more hrs.And,Its worked for you and has probably made you some money...

How's the TA, rubber, cab condition? Around here(IN) a good straight above average condition 1086 will be $12,000 -$15,000. Maybe more to the right guy or one that is in spectacular condition.

Is is definitely not in spectacular condition - it looks old - paint has faded a good deal - rubber is great - no cab

4 post rops? Price on 86 series is more with a cab. Price on 66 series is more without a cab.
