Monday morning rant !! Just woder why so many on here dont put their location (general, ie "near") when they post? Big changes in growing season etc in a couple hundred miles. Just wondering ?? Bob

LOL Bob I've noticed the same thing when they are looking to find a part, sell something or looking for someone to actually lay eyes/hands on a problem tractor!

Get much rain over your way the last couple of days? We got dumped on pretty good but we were getting pretty dry too.

Rick (Battle Lake area)

Have always thought this should be a requirement. A very good suggestion.

For me its Mid northern Illinois.
Please send us some RAIN, thanks ggp

Not much rain here, get some dew most mornings at the house, on the river just east of city limits. Farm is over in Clearwater county. Got a little more but we are really drying out. Probably need 6 inchs to get the ground water back in place. Bob

Unusually dry in central Indiana. In a typical May we get close to 5 inches. Just over 2 inches so far. last night's rain at the Indy airport was only 1/10th. of an inch.

Some sites, IIRC they are also ag related, have a mini map of your home state and a tiny red dot for your local, I don't think they list a name of the town, but it gives you a decent idea where folks are, for reference only.

I'm fairly new on the forum - I did a lot of reading here before I signed up to post, but that is a pet peeve of mine that many of the good folks here won't bother to put a general location in their profile.
This is the only forum of many, that I am a member of, that people won't give a general location.
The ones that say it is dry or whatever "here" (in quotes) without any location indicated just get my dander up.

PLEASE, people, put some indication in your profile as to what part of the country you are from.

Myron

Had a good 2.5 inches of rain Sat. night here in Southeastern South
Dakota by Sioux Falls.

A while back, someone posted that you could Google the IP address of the poster to get an approximate location. It seems to work, but I do not know if it is ALWAYS right....Others on here probably know for sure.

Here in the Mississippi River valley of West
Central Wisconsin,(was that enough location for
you?) It was 88 on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday
mornings it was/is 40, should get a high of 70.

See we are getting some weather reports so thought I would report for this part of MN, (Bemidji). Early this morning I heard wind and sprinkles, checked the gauge, Dont seem to have moved and the driveway is mostly dry. Under 3/4 inch for May. Way short and woods/fields are dry. Bob

Here in mid OK. we have had one and 1/10 inches of raim this mo. Getting dry now. Low hum.& windy really dries us up fast in our sandy soil. clint
