Rain Finally

We finally got some rain tonight at 9pm. We sure needed it here in the midwest just East of
St. Louis. Mo. The corn is looking good though at almost knee high already. Soybeans are popping out of the ground already too!

Darn tough to grow anything without moisture. Got only a couple tenths here. Radar shows many areas got more. Silver lining; less taxes to pay.

Count your blessings. We started in good shape here in northeast Missouri but had 3 inches of rain one night in an hour which caused lots of damage. Lots of corn replanted in this area. Now we can't buy a rain and will have to stop planting until it does. Mike

Good to hear someone is getting help. 200 miles south of you we are getting seriously dry. We've only had only an inch of rain since February. April was the 3rd driest on record. Last year April set the record for the wettest.

Here at the Lake of the Ozarks we didn't even get a drop of rain. We are about 5 inches behind what we should have for this time of year. Starting to get real dry here so may only get on cutting of hay this year unless something changes soon

I'm directly south of St. Louis and we got enough to have standing water in some low spots. Back to mowing.
