engine missing

Make sure you have the plug wires on the right spark plugs. If they're right do a compression check. May be a blown head gasket.
 
Depends on type/age of vehicle. Replace rotor and plugs themselves. Points if old enough to have them.
 
Had a International 2400 one time. Had to use metal core spark plug wires and go to the hottest plug in the range to get it to run smooth. It was just overhauled and would not run right with graphite plug wire and standard spark plugs.
 
It could be anything, just gotta do your troubleshooting. I would check the valve clearances, then do a compression check after that.

My H had bad plug wires, loose valves and corroded cap. I had to check each one before getting it to run correctly.
