Every year the volunteer trees and poison ivy. poison oak, poison sumac, etc get a little worse. Anyone have a good way to eliminate or at least reduce the volunteer stuff without killing the vinca?

If you are signed up with the state to apply weed chemicals, get some TORDON and very carefully spray the offending trees. Just don't spray anything else you want to live because TORDON will sterilize the ground for seven years.

i use round up and 2-4d in a spot sprayer with a squirt or two of dish soap. 8 oz round up, and 8 oz amine 2-4d in a 2 gallon pump sprayer. careful of the drift with 2-4d, dont spray on a windy day.
