Hello,
My yellow rose is finally blooming. The
red rose as well. I just took the pictures to day. The flat leave oregano is about 10 to 14" tall now and soon will be cut.
Guido.

Gee, you sure have a beautiful place! Is that first photo sweet basil? If yes, it looks like it is time for some pasta with pesto!

These are the sweet spots of our place (meaning SweetFeet did this - only had help with placing heaviest of rusted items and the largest rock). Several are of our "rust garden" by my husband's shop. Son made me the steel rose - other kids in class painted them, told him I wanted to let my rust. Pics are from last year. *And yes, 2 plants by the rock garden look dead... they are supposed to be brown - but replacing them this year, don't like them. Going to put in some gold-toned plants.

Last photo is vegtable garden - I do it in strips and mow between garden plots (that and Preen save a lot of weeding).

Hello SweetFeet,
Lost of care goes in there to ake look so beatiful.
I'm glade you had the same idea.
Like them stepping stones, I'll have to take a picture of the ones i put down few years back.
In one word.............. excellent!
Guido.

Thanks! Would love to see pics of your stepping stones. Ours go through the rust-garden, to the sand area under the lean-to of the shop, then over to & around the outhouse and from the other sand/lean-to area back to the gravel. We put them low in the lawn so one can mow right over them. Also have a crooked path of them going out to our campfire area.

You must put in hours upon hours into your gardens! I used to be able to keep up better a few years ago when I was a home daycare provider. Work part time in an office now as the kids are all in school - but it still makes it tougher to keep up with lawn and garden.

Have a plaque by my vegetable garden that says, "One is nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on Earth". (NOT that that discounts farming, fishing, hunting, etc. Garden and yard is just my thing.)

Thanks! We both love rusty iron and I love gardens - so it was natural to combine the two. Sometimes I find rusty treasures at flea markets or junk yards. As we go through the old Regular we are restoring, a piece or two of her will end up either in this rust garden or one that I am contemplating doing by the entrance of our home.

Hello SweetFeet,
I went out and got the pics for you.
The grass side behind me needs more stones. They lead to the back of the house. I reseeded last fall and they are still not in yet.
The garage side I put in as the stones are hard to walk on. There are more stones on the top of the garage picture that i missed with the camera. They go right to the walk you see on the grass side. It is fast becoming a full time job! I'm the only one to blame though. I just keep doing and taking pictures makes me look back and take a breather. Lot more yard that the few pictures I have posted.

Guido,

Thanks for the pics. Both look awesome - my favorite is the irregularly shaped stones in the grass. Happy gardening season to you.

Hello SweetFeet,
Thanks, just odd pieces i picked up at the
stone yard.Happy gardening...............Guido.

Thanks! It is just fun and I so enjoy looking at it and taking photos of it.

Guido has a lot more work than I do though. He must have every inch landscaped - which is just gorgeous. I still have a long row to hoe around our place (should have 'er all done in about 20 years...just in time to let 'er go, because I will probably be too old to take care of it).

Thanks! It seems it is more work to do it initially versus maintaining it. That is why I have not done it around our house yet... but I do have some nice rusty pieces set aside - they are just waiting patiently for me to get up the gumption to get at the project (maybe this will be the summer for it).
