What is the definition of a climate controlled building?

What is the definition of a climate controlled building for antiques especially tractors? I presume it has heat & air conditioning. Is this really necessary to limit deterioration of a restored antique? Reason I'm asking is I've seen classified ads with the fact the item was stored in such a building. Does this fact enhance the value of the antique?? Thanks as I'm just curious,Jim

I would say it's a building/room that is like a cigar box where you can just set the tempat 65 (??) degrees and 70% (??) humidity and there is a heating/AC system along with a humidifier/dehumidifier to do as necessary....

Hard to tell what you Texans 'd call it..... Could be just a carport and the climate is controlled by mother nature

Your wife just notified me you need to get back to cleaning the horse poop up and stop trying to antagonize an old man. When you get through shoveling horse apples could you please TRY to sensibly answer my other question since you did so poorly on the first one. The photo's you've posted of your equipment it appears it qualifies as antique but a long way from restored.

The cigar box comparison was my senseable attempt to answer it.... without gettin all technical and makin myself look ignant.....

See, you got them things all wadded up and flustered that you didn't even see the 1st part of my reply anymore...... Shouldn't let things get to you so bad

Dave a good day.

Evidently you didn't read my 2nd sentence about A/C. Even Texans don't run A/C in an open carport.
Your statement about "wadded up" sounds like the old saying I've heard " that sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black"

You must have your tiddy whitey's wadded. Read your last sentence. (Dave a good day.)

Have a very wonderful day!!!!!!!!

A building where the temperature and humidity are kept at a
constant.

Here in Ohio it makes a HUGE differance to keep heat in a building for storing. So far I don't use AC as building stays pretty cool on it's own with good insulation, but still get moisture so I run a dehumidifier.

There is a small round gauge used in these buildings. As it rotates it reads the humidity level. Even if humidity goes up overnight the occupants will see it on the gauge in the morning as when the gauge rotates a pencil is recording levels on a round paper . I used to like to work nights and breath into the gauge till it pegged . I never knew what they thought in the morning because I wasn't there. There is reason I get sent to switchyards to work instead of office buildings. It can be very useful if the landlord is controlling the indoor envoirment and trying to shut systems down that the tenant company wants to keep running to keep humidity controlled.

Dave always blows a LOT of smoke.... his cigar box that he referenced might actually be his walk-in humidor....and they do control temperature......LOL

Maybe he needs to chill a little, ..... may I recommend the walk-in cooler over the chest of freezer...LMAO, LOL,LOL,double roll.....!!

Back in the 1970's US army sent me to Mannhiem Germany, 77HEMC detachment B. At Spinnelly barracks we had 10000 vehicals to recondition. The army put up new heated and humidity controled buildings to store these in. They were called climate controlled.
