Anybody here used them for at least a few years?
Are they holding up? Cracking? Leaving big chunks of rubber behind on the road as you drive by?
A buddy of mine and I can join forces and get 4 16.9 X 30 8pr for $425 + Tax each.
Hard size to find used anywhere. People on Craigslist are asking nearly that much for 50% Firestones.
I think they're made in China?
We're both just weekend warriors. Tractors sit in the shed 99% of the time.
Thanks

No experience with Sampsons. No love for any Chinese tires, from experience with several brands/sizes.
But... given the frequency of use and price... might be the way to go.

I dont care how expensive the Firestones are or how cheap the Chinese(imports) are,my next tires will be Firestones.

I've never had a China tractor tire, but after buying a set of vehicle tires I do know that I will never buy another China tire of any kind. Your best bet would be the Firestone's.

in an emergency i had to buy an innertube at tractor supply a couple of sunbday's ago. it was junk. it split inside the tire airing it up. went back and got another one. it is holding air but it's like they are made of plastic instead of rubber, very hard to stretch over the rim. no china junk tires or tubes for me. price is a secondary consideration. your family lives and works in america. buy american or teach your grandchildren to speak chinese. boycott walmart!!!

hey ud.. I have FRONT samson on an 850 with a 711 loader.. that laoder USED to move round bales for me.. tires are 6.5-16 multi-rib ( not tri rib ).. I've had them.. I guess at least for 4ys now.. maybee a few more? but for sure since 08. no cracking..rubber is just starting to get that brown look on the edges.. but no dryness.. still nice soft supple black.. etc.

hold up good under the 700-1000# loads she used to lift.. ( yeah, I ran them high pressure.. thinking 20-26psi )

Why is it every time I see this question, some one mentions tubes when the question is tires? Now, I don't even know where to buy the tires in question here in Az, but have to wonder, wouldn't using a good tube with them make some difference?
No offense, just observing.

Heard Titan is pretty good, any experience with them, anyone?? Especially for the rear!
Thanks in advance, Ralph in Oklahoma.

There are those who hate them (Rod in NS, for one), but I've had very good luck with them - on wagons and tractors fronts and rears. My Ford 7000 ('75) and 7600 ('77) have had ONLY Armstrong/Titans on the rear (18.4x34) since new... 7000 is on its 3rd set at something like 13,000 hours and the 7600 is wearing its 2nd set at around 7700 hours. As you can probably guess, my tractors see very little pavement. Both will likely need a new set in a year or two, but that's not bad considering the hours of use and number of years.

I like Firestones, too, but my next Firestones will be purchased when the tariffs on imported tires are lifted.

I put a brand new pair of 12.4x38 Titans on the rear of my H about 2 years ago. Haven't really had the chance to give them much of a workout, so I can't really say how they will hold up, but a pair of 6.00x16 Titan fronts on a different H are holding up very well for at least 10 years now.

Price was the deciding factor on the Titan rears, but since Titan has a program that DONATES brand new tires for 4H and FFA members projects, I feel that buying tires from them might help to support that program.

I sold a few as I was getting out of the business, heavy as heck, but I would prefer Firestones. When I had to quit 5 years ago they made the best tractor tire on the market. I know I put on semiloads of them.
