Larry J. is the owner of an old Case. He has a granddaughter who is talented enough to be in a national contest called Google Doodle. Janae M. is in the 6th grade and has won the Michigan contest for this age group (6th and 7th graders) and would like you to vote for her in the national contest. Her work of art is entitled "The Welcoming Future" and her grandpa (a buddy of mine) would be delighted to see her win. This is a large family of 10 kids and the dad has finally gotten a job after 3 years of under and unemployment. He never gave up and he now has a good job, but you all know it takes a long time to recover from financial disaster like that. Thank you all very much. John Lobb (Just google "Google Doodle and vote for Janae M. from Michigan)

Nice to see the voting participation.

I hang out on the Hudson board- there are some "car of the month" contests on various sites, and I have never seen a non-Hudson win, when there is a Hudson as one of the choices. There's a guy on the board with a lot of time on his hands, apparently- calls our attention to the contest, posts the link, then keeps reminding us to vote early, and often.

2 more things: There are 12 kids! Not 10. We can vote until the 10th (Thursday) and thank all of you sooo much. This means a lot to the kids in Pinckney, MI. A small town about 50 miles NW of Detroit. If she wins, I heard the school wins $50,000 and she gets a scholarship, I don't know how much. John Lobb

Okay I voted for her but only because it was the best entry. The horse was a close second . Some of the others were clever but Janae had full use of the canvas ,lots of color, and the best understanding of light source etc. So asking for my vote is more like asking me to consider all the entries not just the one another guy on some website says is friends with the family. So as much as this could have backfired to end up as a vote against her -it all worked out so wonderfully when her entry clearly was the best. Tell her to keep up the good work and pursue her artwork as a career possibilty.

Done again here at work and making the rounds on the computers. I hope she wins! She's really quite talented.
