JD Loader Forks

I took a chance and brought a set of older JD #27 pallet forks for my non JD loader tractor. I was on a parts mission yesterday and found them in the weeds at a dealership 50 miles from home. After I got them home I found the brackets to be about an inch too narrow to fit my loader properly. I have been able to get them to work but not real happy with the setup. I can do a little cutting and welding on them but I hate to do so. My question is what Jd loaders do these fit on? I tried goggle with no luck. I may just try to resell them before cutting and welding on them. I probably should go on the JD board but I figured I would try here first.

My first thought would be to build an adapter to go between your loader and the pallet fork frame. This way you won't have to alter either unit. Make sure you have a overhead protector for yourself so if something rolls off toward you, you will be protected.

I think that they where made for a JD 145 loader. The parts listing says they where for the three cylinder tractors,820,830,and 2040. They also showed two angle iron brackets that extended the center up for a top link to hook too. Then you use it on the three point.

I had never even heard of a #27 until you asked about it. Most of the loader attachments do not have a model number. You go to the loader they where made for to find parts for them.
