How do you find time to be on here now? I thought you would be in the field 16 hours a day! I sure hope they settle the ACS dispute so I can drive truck again this fall. Do you do any sugar beet farming? when are they planted? I would think the low price the farmers got from ACS would stimulate something, but it looks like a lost cause. My experience with labor disputes is when it goes on this long all the well qualified employees have gone out and found other jobs, and all you have left is the people no one wants! What a sad situation for the RR valley!
 
I need a coffee canister about that size, after the Drs. weaned me off of "what made Milwaukee famous" LOL Pretty neat. Years back when they put up a new watertower in Grimes, Iowa, they left the old one up and wrote HOT on one and COLD on the other.
 
Hey Russ! Got a smartphone. YT in my pocket! All the beets are in...they go first. Insurance date this year was the 11th of April. Why cant you drive truck? The farmees drivers arent union. No beets on our farm. Just corn, soybeans, and black beans. Did 15 hors yesterday....usually only 14. 7 to 9.
 
I worked in industrial maintenance for 40 years all union, so I have to sympathies with the union, but it looks like a lost cause. How can you deal with ACS management? I really enjoyed driving, the farmer was a great guy, and very understanding last year, just have to see what happens.
 
Yep, I hear ya. It's too bad they couldnt all agree. The worst part is, alot of those folks just wanted their job back. ACS is still hiring. The ads say full-time short-term.
