Check with the restoration crew at The Reynolds MUseum, Wetaskiwin, AB. I think they restored a Big 4 a couple of years ago and had to make pistons for it. They may have a source for castings. Great place to visit too.

I would try bringing this up on the smokstak forum as there are a few Big 4 tractor enthusiasts on there. Some people are making quite a few parts for them. Not sure about your model though.

You also might be able to find pistons that are close and can fit with some adaptation, of course you would need a matched set. I've heard of JD 3020 pistons being used in a cross motor Case, and JD M pistons being used in a Samson model M.

Have you tried searching Yahoo? If you type in Custom Pistons Tractor you will find a lot of shops that make custom pistons and some will make cast pistons for you.

Here is a pic of that tractor.

if you have one take it to a foundry that will pour four new ones. have them machined to what ever size you need. much better than trying to find something that doesn't exist or is worn out. good luck Paul

It is.it has 3 aluminum pistons and one cast iron
piston.its kinda unbalanced...those have been in it for
probably 60-70 years.Dennis needs one al piston,or 3
ci pistons, would prefer ci,as that was oem.
