Well Am surprised. Our Reassert Burbank spuds are breaking ground, along with the other brands and garden stuff. Victor fired up the O.C.46 yesterday and all is well.Nice to see it in acion again. NO PROBLEMS with it. Gonna move some more ground tomorrow provided it doesn"t rain him out.Garden is fenced with the electric fence so no critters get to our vegies Yea righttt!!!Now even our peach trees are leafing out(Contender name) so Just might see a peach on em before I cash in my chips.Sure hope we got the right ones. There is one fine tree in Superior that has em every year. Well Sure hope you folks are having a good garden/crops in, and coming right along. Sure hope the growing season holds and no re=occurrence of old man Winter. Keeping our fingers crossed. Regards LOU.

Yeah! my spuds are just now coming. The onions have been up a week. Beets haven't germinated yet. Say there Lou! how low do you have to put that elect wire, to stop the rabbits? They cut off my peas and bean vines, at the ground level last yr.

Very few even planted here in potato central, Montcalm county, central Michigan. Cold frosty nights have about destroyed fruit crops according to reports on TV from local farmers. Early spring last month wasn"t a blessing to many farmers. My early planted oats look great, however.

Lou,are potatoes were up in pa,but I think they got nipped by the frost sunday. I posted an update on the raised beds here in nj. Hope all is well with you and the family .... Larry and family

I have about 50% of my garden planted already and have had the spuds in since March 17th as I always try to do. The spuds are up at least a foot tall and I need to pick up another bale of straw to put on them today. Have radishes lettuce cabbage and onions all still doing well and I planted them last fall and they are still going but we did have a mild winter this year

Ralphwd45,
The wire is run off the ground about 3-4 inches and the second wire is about 7-10 above the ground, this keeps the rabbits, and chipmunks out, if deer show up later we add another one about 3 ft off the ground.Sorry it took a while to answer, just got back from town and read you question,
Regards,LOU

Planted soybeans last Friday and the garden is plowed. I may plant some early stuff late this week, depending on rain. Wait and see, too many other projects in the fire and it's supposed to be rainy all week.

Wife and I had new potatoes and beets for dinner. Been eating yellow squash and zucchini for about a week now. Should be picking tomatoes next week.

I start planting the 1st week in March here just outside Houston.
