Our hairy 'Yak', the dawters new heifer, has finally mastered crossing concrete pads and is now running with the herd. And, after loosing two calves, we went to a neighboring dairy farm and bought two bull calves for grafting. Both have new adoptive mothers and seem to be happy not going to the veal farm. Now they can be raised as dairy beef. Beats loosing two cows for the year.

Bale of hay on the concrete. She did the rest all by herself. But the herd still is leary of the horns, either that, or they thinks she's ugly, too.

Look on the bright side- did you notice how nice she makes all the other cattle look, when she's in among them? LOL
