white 5100-what to look for?

I am thinking of going to look at a white 5100 4rn corn planter. It has dry fertilizer, pto air, and 2 piece closing wheels. It should be set up for no til. Did they come from the factory as no til planters, or were they converted with after market parts? What should I look for otherwise? It is supposed to be always kept in, and a nice planter.

I had one just like that. It had frame mounted no-till coulters from the factory. It was a great machine. When I traded a few years ago I would have bought a new White but the local dealers are all gone.
I bought it well used, and parked the pump in the barn, since my tractor had enough hyd. capacity to run the blower.

Great planters. I been planting with one for 3 years. See how much play is in the gauge wheel arms. They do not have replaceable bushings so if there is to much play you have to replace the shaft. That is not to bad at $18 each but if the arm is wore to bad you have to machine it out and install bushings from 6100 planter and then take a hammer and bend arm to get desired clearance to opener disks.
