new dobie puppy

Hi folks ,
a while back we lost our dobie of 7 yrs , was a sad time for the wife, I had a bit of trouble convincing her to get a new puppy , but she finally did . We got him a week ago today , and it fills me with joy to see her smiling and that sparkle in her eyes again.we were so lucky to get one so soon. some people have been on the waiting list for months ,but we luck out to get moved up on the list so fast .the puppy is such a bundle of energy and fun to interact with him.
has been years since I personally have had to deal with a puppy.Sometimes can hardly wait to get home at night. Glenn

We sure get attached to these critters. We have lost our share of them. They become part of the family. We have a border collie, the wife is just crazey about. If she would pick between the dog or me. Don't want to think about it. Stan

That's cause you's an old stick in the mud and won't get her a motorhome and leave the tractors alone

Where's the pics???? We had a doberman that the wife got when we first bought the place... She was so smart it was scary and knew what you were gonna do sometimes even before you knew.....

My beagle Sis had a litter of seven yesterday. She's doing a great job so far. It was fascinating to watch the miracle of life and birth. We were able to watch the entire process with each pup.

We just picked up a new dob on Saturday. We have had dobes for a along time now.We have a4 year old male now,but he is on way for surgery to have a growth removed that may be cancer,so we decided that just in case we should have a another dog around. The last time we lost one we had to wait along time to find a another one.they are asuch a big part of the family it is hard to be without one.also my dughter is leaving for Universtity in the fall,so I think my wife is starting to feel the empty nest thing already and getting prepared.Good luck with your pup and enjoy it as much as we do ours.

We had to put our Chow to sleep in 2010 and we bought another Chow pup when we were told she wouldn't survive. Here's the pup at 8 weeks. She will be 2 in May. We also have a Keeshond and sh'e our third Keeshond. Hal

Glen........unless your wife just hassta have a "puppy", I recommend checking yer local vet/dog pound for "rescue" breed association people. They "personality" check each dog and each potential family for compatibility. Besides being "house-broke", the dogs are eternally grateful. Yeah, puppies are cute but cute lasts for 2-years. Me? I want 2-things from a dog; COME when I call, LAY DOWN when I say. And NEBBER EBBER hit'chur dog when he comes 'cuz he'll think WTF, I obeyed and got punished for it. ........Dell, who's buried 8 Australian Shepherds on my RockyRidge SheepStation
