How is the ground looking in your areas? Its really dry around here. Not dust on the surface, I talking in the ground. My tree spade goes down 30 inches. Most years I am in the mud at this time, and on occasion the holes will fill a little in the bottom with water. Not this year, the soil is moist but surely not wet. I figure its from the lack of snowfall.

These last couple rains seem to have just wetted the surface. Whats your area like?

I'm off to Grand Rapids for the day, gives me a chance to see if it looks better over there.

We're not dry over here. Had .7 yesterday,1.1 earlier in the week. Swamps are full. I'd say we're probably where we normaly are the first week of May,but the ground where I was hauling manure last week has water standing on it again.
 
Dry,Dry Dry.Our irrigation supplies have already been cut.Down to 80% in some local areas,may be cut even further later.We're wondering just how much we want to plant.
 
I figured you have been getting rain up there. Both times that rain went north of me. Dry here but got a little shower last night.
 
St. Cloud MN (central) raining now, rained 3.5 in the last week. Happy as clams, million dollar precip. Jim
 
It's so dry here the BFO's have stopped planting. BFO neighbor's planters have been sitting for a week. Corn in the ground two wweks earlier than I can ever remember and it still hasn't germinated yet. Calling for some decent rain tomorrow, but we'll see. After all that wild weather last week out you all's way, we got about .15" of rain.
 
Grounds wet here, (just south of Grand Rapids). The high wind storm the other day blew some trees down because the ground was so wet.
 
Dry here between Detroit and Flint. We got about .83 inches of rain in the last two weeks. The rain must be going around me. I worked a small feild this week that I can barely ever get into before June 1st in a normal year.
