Work has me traveling to the Lafayette/Crawfordsville area for the next month, and instead of laying in the hotel every evening I was hoping I could get out and find a replacement for my old combine. Dealers probably aren't gonna have anything Im looking for (gleaner F2, IH 1420) buy surely there are some jockeys in the area. Thanks in advance for the info.

Ya might try Billy Edwards in Crawfordsville . I knew Billy from my days at Stilesville . I don't think my other friend is tradeing iron anymore so Paul will be of no help to ya.

Edwards Equipment 5305 S 875 W 765-866-1035

He still has a lot of combines, all shapes & sizes, just south of the big town of Alamo In.
go west out of Crawfordsville on St. Rd. 32 about 5 or 6 miles and watch for a small sign that says Alamo on the left or south side of 32. It's about 3 miles to Alamo, then about 3 miles farther south to Billy Edwards. Look for the Combines on the hill, you can see them from far off.

If you are into old iron, stop & see the Ropkey Museum near Crawfordsville. It is the best display of military armored vehicles I've ever seen. Fred Ropkey is a really neat guy too.
