Sunglasses in the dark....

I was thinking that it was really dark and the
tractor lights were pretty dim.Then it dawned on
me...DUH!I'm still wearing my sunglasses!

I have a pair of prescription sunglasses. I haven't gotten a new pair of sunglasses since I got bifocals.

The other day I had on the old sunglasses and kept twisting my head around trying to read the label on a herbicide container....... my wife got a good laugh before she read it for me. The new sunglasses are orderd.

I've also done the sunglasses at night thing..... just never told anybody. LOL

You can get them off FAST when you are driving 45 mph and go into a non lighted highway tunnel.
Sign should read "Turn on light AND take off sunglass"

I have the auto-darks too and I wouldn't be without them, but they don't darken enough when I'm in the tractor or car so I need sunglasses there, and they need to lighten back up quicker when I go into the dark. Some people say I'm in the dark all the time LOL! Jim

I think Jim Morrison, Keith Moon, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, Elvis and Jimi Hendrix all wore their sunglasses at night too.
Maybe that's what killed them.

I had a pair of auto-darken glasses and HATED them. They responded to UV, not to brightness, so they would darken outside, even on a cloudy day, but did not darken in the car, no matter how bright it was outside. And besides, they made me look like a large insect. They eventually fell out of my pocket when I was rototilling the garden, with predictable results (found the pieces later, when I was weeding the carrots).

Are there any that darken based on how bright it is outside?

I usually get out of the car and into the store before I remember I have them on!

I just got a cataract removed from one and still use the old prescription. The brain takes just a little while to ignore the new eye!
