What is favorite tractor?

Depends on the job. My TW35 is my favorite tractor for tillage or chopping, but wouldn't be for raking hay...
My 4600 gets the most hours per year.

Probably a toss up between my Oliver 1850 and Oliver 77. I've got plenty of others, even newer ones, but those are like a comfortable old shoe.

Oliver 550 diesel. Except its been parked for a year, from an accumulation of wear items- needs PTO clutch, fuel line work, power steering pump leaking up the column, etc., etc.- Got an IH 504 that I'm just about done with in the shop, Ollie is next.

John Deere 4020 Diesel Side counsel
Most used- Allis Chalmers 170 for feeding cattle each day.

My favorite I dont own one of any more, 1210 Case. Everyone Ive had was durable, sipped fuel, and lots of power for the size. But, parts are scarce, everything on it is behind something else, and the lucas electronics bring new meaning to the term 'the company that invented darkness'.

Of what Ive got its probably the old 7600 Ford. It doesnt get as many hours as the others, the TB110 is nice and I enjoy having a 'new' tractor but its hot to sit on. The 7610 is nice with a/c and cab comforts but its quirky electronics give me (more) grey hairs. The old 7600 is a beast, plenty of power when needed, easy to work on, never gets hot, and is ballasted heavy. Its been hooked to the 15 foot batwing for 3 years now. Gets about 350 hours a year pulling it.

For me, its the 1655 Oliver. Probably because it is the only one I own. Big enough to do anything I ever ask it to do, and love the sound of the 6 cylinder, especially under a load.

Close second is the 1855 Oliver.

But I like all the colors, old tractors are all better than the new junk.

Hard to beat the sound of that Perkins. My oldest boy was about 15 or so when I bought mine. He was in love with the 4040 Deere we had here at the time. I brought the 1850 home while he was at school. When he got home he climbed on it and started it up. He reved it up a couple of times and just sat there shaking his head and grinning. He said why can't that John Deere sound like that?

430 case diesel ,, for all around ,, but it really depends on demand of job...4020 or 1070 is nice for heavy work ..

1963 Farmall 560 gas mine has over 12000 hrs and still running strong it don't much work any more just to small but in the old days 4/16 pull type plow and 15' disc never it complained.

The Ginormous IH 3588.....Too bad I don't have one.
It looks impressive. All that size, torque, and red plowing along.

856 International - had about 7500 hours when it left my farm and never had a wrench on the motor. Neighbor bought it and it's still running hard.

A Ford 4600 SU that my dad got new in '76. Big enough to pull 3 bottoms or a 1 row chopper but small enough to haul on a tag-a-long trailer, we have 11 tractors sized from an 8n to a 5000 sos but 4600 is best all around.

Of course my 46 AC WC, since my greatgrandpa bought it new.

Newer. I think a Ford 6610 or 7610 4wd look like they would have a great power to weight ratio for general loader and around the farm work.

Rented a JD 2955 4wd, great size and power. Figure this would be comparable to the Ford 7610. Wouldn"t complain with any of them.

Mine would have to be the first tractor me and my father bought and restore which is a 1943 Olver 60. I'd take that over almost any other tractor any day!!

1135 MF, the most comfortable tractor I have to run, shifts easy, has a nice roomy cab and plenty of horses to rumble when it comes time.

(quoted from post at 08:28:49 04/16/12) Mine has to be a case 1070! What is yours?
my favorite is my oliver 77 that my dad bought new, i started driving it when i was 12, 69 now. use it for tractor pulling 3-4 times a year, pulls 45, 55,65,75,85,95 and 10500lb. classes. also do plow days twice a year. my second fav. is my brother's 2255 MFWD. got to plow with it last year pulling 6-18s. he has headers with duel mufflers and that thing sure sound nice under load, chuck
