Truck seat covers

Anyone have knowledge of a GOOD brand of seat covers for pickups? I bought what I thought were a good set, cost just over $100, and they lasted about 6 months before they started to fall apart. Cabela's have some but they are near $300, if I'm going to shell out that much cash they need to last a few years.

Anyone have suggestions?

I have the Cabelas seat covers in Camo. They are worth it. Haven't torn or wore in any places. I have to say they don't fit my truck the best because its an S-10 crew cab but they still fit and look nice. I just had to use all of the adjustment in them. They really do look nice and are made to last. I let my dog in my back seat after a day out hunting and haven't had to clean the seats at all. Nothing has leaked through them. Worth it in my opinion.

Ditto, for that much money, you can get a seat redone nicely, or, if it is a late model truck, find a gently used one in a salvage yard!

I currently have these guys seat covers on the truck now. 400K / 12 years on truck, 2nd set of covers on drivers seat. I'm very happy with them.

I'd sure like to do that but can't find anyone to work on them. we've only 2 shops locally and both said they don't want the work. Another shop 30+ miles away said they'd do it but won't give a price and can't get to it for a couple months anyway. Old guy kinda grouchy too so don't really want to deal with him.

Makes it hard to feel sorry for mom and pop places going outta business don't it??? can your wife sew?? What If you just get something like a set of them walmart saddleblanket covers and have her or someone go over the seams again with a good machine?

I ordered a cover from Cabela's in 2001 when the truck was new it was expensive but it wasn't $300, dunno they might be $300 now. Got one of those new fangled Fords with a 60/40 split bench and seat belts on the seat, this is germane because it means getting a fitted seat cover if you want to use seat belts and move the seat sides Independently. I'ts 2012 now, the truck has 132,000 miles on it, the seat cover is frayed but not bad enough to think about replacing yet. My $.02, your actual mileage may vary.

I hear ya. I wanted the drivers part of the 60/40 seat done in my '89 Chevy X cab longbox. One shop quoted $850 to do it, and another guy had a heart attack and quit working.

I put a saddle blanket cover on it.

Slightly off topic but I have excellent bench for up to 97 ford could bring from south west Ind through to rockisland il $75.00 took out to put in bucket seats

Son has a pair from here on his 2006 Chev. They look good and fit good but can't vouch for durability as he has only had them for about 6 months. I'm thinking about getting some for my 05 Chev.
Don't have the web site but you can google them and get it.
