Unstyled JD plow day video

That brings back memories. I can remember there being four or five tractors all together in the fields here when I was a kid. Everything had to be turned under. If there where any corn stalks showing you where made fun of.

Grand Dad had an unstyled "G". That was a hand start one too. He pulled 4 x 16 trip lift plows with it in the bottom ground and 4 x 14 hydraulic lift plow in the hill clay. The tractor had hydraulics that run off of the govener gear drive. It was an after market kit. He like to be able to lift the plow with the hydraulics in the tough clay but he thought the trip plow did a better job plowing. My great Uncle still has the tractor and both plows. He plows 20-30 acres every year for corn. Always alfalfa ground with heavy manure. He has good corn too.

Thanks for the post.

I have a 3-16" rope trip plow and a 3-14" hydraulic lift plow, and I think the rope trip plow does a better job too. I set both of them up identically, according to the manual. I wondered if it was because the rope lift plow was 16" bottoms.

Hi Gojdpuller: About half way I finally shut your video off after NOT being able to hear the wide front JohnDeere tractor because of the %$#@ music. What a shame to not being able to clearly hear the great sound of those 2 cylinders under load because of some crap music. A real loss of quality John Deere sound. ag

I agree about being able to hear the tractors better, my movie maker won"t let me fade the music partially thru. I"ll be putting up one with no music. There was some neat tractors there the wide front A is actually a AWH
