Birds built a nest on top of the engine of my 90 gmc farm truck. The nest caught on fire and burned the wiring harness on the rear of the engine. What would you do? 120,000 miles great gooseneck truck.

Find a replacement harness at a salvage yard??

Cut back the harness on each side to a area where the wire is in good shape. Get yourself and asortment of different colored wires, and 1 at a time replace each wire. Solder each connection, use heat shrink to seal each.

Becareful to use like gauge wire, at least the same. Shouldn't be too hard as the wires are color coded. Worst of it will be the location, hard to reach back there.
