Just watched 2 Boomer Fords sell for $18,500 on Barrett Jackson. What are they bringing in the real world?

i coldn t believe it when I saw them go on the auction block !!!! but did you notice that the second one was the first one in the production series ! I figured that they had to be special in some way to be there

I heard the term "Boomer Ford" the other day. Explain what this is. Is that the modern day version of the little Ford tractor---like the old Fordson or the old Ferguson?

Thats about retail depending on year and options.

Boomer is a line of compact New Holland tractors. They have a dozen or so different models including one that is modeled after the 8N style tractors. It is the only one that is not NH blue and white and is painted Ford Red and Gray. They came out in 2009 and up untill 2011 were still being produced (do not know if still are). MSRP price varied from about 23K for bare bones to 28K depending on options.

I assume they are refering to 8N model Boomer.

If they were the boomer 8n which resembles the 8n ford but has 50H.P.IVT trans ,roll bar ,MFD .My partner and I sold 13 of them w/loaders for 25K .There were 2000 made and they work great. At Barrett Jackson there is an 8%sellers fee and an 10% buyers fee. When they first came out in 2009/2010 there were several sold near $40K which seemed like a big mark-up but I know of some collectors that bought them. They are 10K under a JD and are built better.
