GM power window ?

I'm trying to work on my uncles 02 buick lesabre. Drivers side window will not go up. He already replaced the module, and I have cleaned+lightly lubed the track. Unhooked the motor and supplied power directly from a batt, swaping polarity for up and down, one side wouldn't work so we put a new motor in. Still the same no up. Is there another fuse box hidden somewhere that I'm not aware of? Some trick of the trade? I've got to put this to bed, its about time to hook to the planter and get it. Thanks in advance.

I think you're already past this step - on my LeSabre, the passenger window would stop working and I could hold the window switch in an up or down position while at the same time slamming the door. Worked every time. Loose connection somewhere on mine.

Those cars have ALOT of power window problems. The cables and pulleys get all wrapped up. AM-autoparts.com sells them cheap.

If your motor/regulator is good then chek for broken wires inside the boot where the door hinges. GM had alot of problems there too.

battery under the back seat???? remove the lower and upper rear seat. follow the battery ground cables to the rear strut towers. clean all connections where the cables connect to the strut towers so you have a good ground. disconnect the battery for about a half hour to reset the body control module. re-connect the battery, start the car and see what happens. window functions are controlled thru the body control module.

There are 3 fuse boxes- one in dash, one under hood, and one under back seat. When I bought my '01, I got $1,500 knocked off because radio and driver power seat wouldn't work, and selling dealer "didn't want to mess with it"- turned out to be a blown fuse under back seat.

And this was a GM dealer!

On those Buicks, look between the drivers door and the body, rubber boot for the wires, pull the boot back from the body, pull the harness out to get to the connector. Kind of a locking lever to hold it together. Take it apart, clean the connections and use some dialectric grease. Put it together tight and see if that don"t get it working.

Window functions are not controlled by the BCM. The driver door module in the switch assy is what controls all window functions on H car. If the window powers down with the switch but won't go up, put a test light in place of the motor and push the up button. If no light, check the wires between the switch. If ok probably needs a switch.
