Used (n antique) Tractor Prices

Speaking to my NH/Kubota dealer recently, I learned that he expects the used tractor market to become lively and prices to rise due to the federal requirement for DEF in anything 125 HP and above, which will eventually be worked down to include lawnmowers.

Have any of you heard anything similar?

Since tractors are not inspected like cars and trucks I would expect a lot of farmers will figure out how to disable these systems pretty quickly.

That makes a lot of sense to me and sure you can disable some of the goverment required addons but look a tier 4 engines. To move up in power thats what you almost have to move to. The same thing is happening with pickups. The price of used pickup without alot of the new emisson standards is outrageous

I agree, and you can burn off road diesel in your on road truck also but the fines are prohibitive if someone turns you in to the authorities.

Ten years ago who woulda thought a person could click a couple of times on his laptop and view a person's farm via satelite from clear across the country.....they will have ways of keeping track and there won't be nothing you can do about it....
