I took this pic. from my back door last evening about 6:30. I have never seen the clouds line up in stripes like this before.

I see that once-in-awhile here in NWIA. Looks like what I call a 'wind cloud'. Usually not a lot of rain, just a lot of wind. Jim

I'm a pilot, but don't know which direction it was take. I'm guessing a warm or even a cold front. Did the wind change direction about that time? Did the Temp also change.

my guess es facing east north east. Sun making specular highlights on silos, and the shadows. Very nice photo. Jim

We get that here in Texas quite often. Cold front comes through. Clouds get crazy,wind picks up. Then nothing happens except temp goes down.
I've seen the clouds look like that many times over the years both on land and at sea while in the Navy. Now if you want to see weird you shold have been with me the other evening when the clouds literally looked like white clumps of cauliflour hanging below higher clouds that had a burnt orange and black tone to them. I wish I had had a camera with me as that was one of the weirdest, yet strangely beautiful, things I have ever seen.

Probably a contrail from Air Force One going by again.

See those on the east shore of Lake Huron as storms roll in from the west.
Scary sight is when you can see the clouds rolling and curling under another layer of different colored clouds. Along the boundary of two weather systems.
Temperature,humidity and wind direction will change in seconds.
