Well after a week of 70s and 80s were back down to 25 right
now. There saying as low as 18. I got 30 hen chicks last
Thursday, the shed I start them in was 95 so i dident need
the heat light on until night time. Well tonight the shed was
below 32 and they are all huddled under the heat light! What
crazy weather. I had the woodstoves off since march 8th,
now i am burning them both again. I also used AC in my truck
a few times last week. Lol

Kinda the same situation here in N.C. Been running AC in the house off and on for days, but they are talking about possible frost tonight. I had to put on a flannel shirt when I went out about dark.

My parents go to Nags head every may, sometimes it's warm and sometimes it's cool and damp.!

Yeah, I know. Wife and I went to Outer Banks one time in early October and it was still warm enough to wade in the water. I wasn't brave enough to jump in all the way.

Yep on the news tonight they where saying back in 2007 we had pretty much the same thing and then the first week of April we had a week of freezing every night so yep for those who have jumped the gun on there gardens they will probably be starting over again

Not only there, picked my pears last week [autumn] today I noticed there is new growth and flowers, that shouldn"t happen till spring, six months away.

Temps dropped into the twenties overnight here. Fruit farmers sweating bullets, doing everything they can to protect their budding fruit trees. Running large fans, burning bales of hay, and most of all praying! Most other crops are not at risk here, as most othres not planted yet. I did beat the record, and have had my oats planted for almost a week, but not sprouting out of the ground yet, so probably safe.

We loas a ewe overnight. Granted she was in fragile health, but...

Sounds like the usual Texas weather but this year things are different......so far! Had a nice mild winter, super spring shaping up and no last minute frost.....yet! Have really enjoyed it.

Used to have a peach tree that put out the most delicious freestone peaches but was an early bloomer. Almost every year it got smacked with the late frost.
