3-point T-post puller

Iam thinking of building a contraption that would 3 point style drawbar. Nothing to big just somthing to make it easier to pull up 6 foot metal T-posts. Anybody got any ideas?

Just a piece of chain that gets looped around about 2-3 times is all I've ever used if my back couldn't pull one out. Goes fast with one guy on the seat and one swinging the chain around the posts. Even faster when using a loader as the bucket doubles as the carrier for the posts.

What kind of a tractor?
I know your handle says Allis G but you may have other tractors.
On a tractor with a typical 3 point all you'd need is an 11 hole draw bar that goes between the lift arms. Hook a chain to that and wrap it around the post.

I was planning to do the same thing, then I found a manual T-post puller at Harbor Freight.
Cost about $40. Works great. Drive along with a pickup and pop them out of the ground

The 2ed link by Dave2 looks very interesting to
me, since I already have a Hi-lift jack...but..
$19.95..no way! They must stamp those out for under $1. I"ll have to make one.time is cheap
as I"m retired!

My 3pt puller is a length of chain. Hook one end firmly to one lift arm. Back tractor next to the post so the lift arm is right next to it. Staying in the tractor seat twirl the the chain around the post several times. Lift the post out of the ground. Continue to the next one. A helper to ride the hitch and pickup the posts is nice too.

A loader bucket with hooks welded to it and a chain works real nice because will pull from the ground to 10' or better. But, if using a three point, my guess is a boom oughta work ok and when I bought mine from TSC about a decade ago, was going for something like 100$ or so as I recall. Will lift 500 lbs, and has quite a swing to it. If you can weld, can make something out of bigger angle iron or iron bar and lower arm pins you can get from TSC too. And while you're there, grab a handful of locking pins since they have them by bulk. Can never have enough locking pins around because no matter hw many you have, they disappear.

Good luck.

Something like this maybe?

I am a senior citizen and many many years ago (about 50 years) I figured out a cheap way to pull posts. There was a lot of cedar fence post back then. to save the post I would back rear tractor wheel up to post and put a chain thru the wheel and around the post. as you moved forward the wheel would pull the post straight up out of the ground saveing the post. Should work for metal post too. all you need is a chain.
