18Th of March and we"re out plowing. Son wanted to help, and I said, "Go for it!" So he fired up his 1949 JD B and an old Oliver plow. Restored tractor was his senior project in high school. Plow we got fixed mechanically, but it has so far evaded the paint gun.
Was in the high 70"s and both tractors had issues with the heat. MF 180 was running hot, and I got sprayed with a mist of antifreeze and water. JD was having fuel vapor lock - could actually see fuel boiling in the sediment bowl.
First picture, we"re letting them cool down for a few. Grandson, 2 1/2 yrs, brought his tractor and plow out to help.
Second picture, close up of the three of us. No, we're not Mennonites, just haven't been sheared yet this spring!
