FYI: lawn mower batteries on sale

Menards is having a sale on excide lawn mower batteries for $13.99 after a $5 rebate. I've been using excide lawn mower batteries for years. Have 2 that were made in 2008 that are still good. Every year I buy 2 new ones to keep on the shelf. Never know when you may need one and that price it pays to have spares. Usually Rural King has a sale on excides for $15 after rebate.

I need one this year. Much as I dislike Menards I'll probably still go get one there.
Maybe put a bag over my head first :)
 
Check the CCA and amp hr capacity. The cheapy will have a plastic case filled with mostly liquid and tiny little plates.
 
I use the cheapies, 200 cca. Been using Excides for years with no problems. However, Menards made a mistake, they showed their 350 cca for $13.99 after rebate. Normally that battery sells for around $38. I left there with two 350 cca batteries for $13.99 after rebate. Also noticed Rural King has the same battery this year for $2 more $22 with a $5 rebate. Guess Menards is still #1 in my book, even with their mistake, they made good.
