New Member From GA

Hi all-

New member from North Georgia here. I have three Ford tractors- an 8-N, a 2600 diesel and a 4000 three-cylinder gas machine with a Select-O-Speed. The 400 is larger than what I need for my 10 acres as I use the diesel for bush hogging, raking and light grading. The 8-N has a Woods RM-350 finish mower on it that is a dedicated lawn mower.

Just poking around here to see what I can see.

Thanks,

-Robert

Good day from South Carolina. 8N mutt, Ford 4830 and kubota here. 50 acres, corn, beans and wheat rotation. Make no money but sure do enjoy.
Welcome.

OOOOO, Waffle House! Visited Kentucky and Tennessee a few years ago, discovered Waffle House- love waffles, love pecans, what's not to like? There seemed to be one on every corner.

and Shoney's- waitress was refilling the steam table with something that looked like white corn meal mush- I asked, "What's that?" She said, "Them's grits, honey, where ya'll from?" Obviously, not here, she's thinking. . .

Turns out that the white whole corn kernals that I though were grits is actually called "hominy"- learn something new every day.

From western Washington, by the way- and welcome to the board. Most are pretty friendly, many spend far too much time on here. Me, included. Ignore the trolls- they usually move on fairly soon.

Welcome! You can get answers to all kinds of questions here! There is an N forum and an everything else Ford forum on this site you should check out, too.

Don't let rusted fool you. There ain't been a party down there in a while now. Nobody's saying anything down there today.
Must be takin a nap or something.

Welcome, Enjoy your time here, some of us feel this sight is like sitting on a big front porch in rockin chairs sippin your favorite beverage and shootin the breeze.
By the way, the basement being refered to is Tractor Tales, down near the bottom of the forum list, you'll find most of us loose nuts down there.

Wow-

Lot's of action here considering that I just walked in! Where do I go to learn about the "Select-O-Speed" Fords? That's the tractor that I use the least (probably because I know the least about it)!

I'm just curious to know how many other of those "oddballs" are out there! I find lots of "N" guys all over the place but when I mention "Select-O-Speed" a hushed pall falls over the room as if I mentioned that somebody should vote for external_link. Stating to feel like maybe it's a taboo subject!!!

Hey Neighbor. Come on over if you feel the need to help set fence posts one day. I'd be happy to help you out!

You know anyone with a decent three-point hay rake around here that they're looking to get shed off?

See you in town!

-Robert

We're closer than you know. My farm is out here in Hickory Flat but my "City" house is in downtown Roswell.

Hope to see you around soon!
