NURSING HOME OOOD NEWS GRIPE

We had been careful in our decision for me to go into the Nursing Home. I have found out my wife is a very strong women to put up with things around her.I should have been here for her sooner. I nearly got thrown out one evening. They got the clot in the deep vein of her left leg to disolve with out incident. Thank the Lord and all who prayed for us.This was done at the hospital I have had trouble adjusting to the BS that goes on around this place.Cold Bath room with cold water. One of the aids was an angel and called the State Ombudsman to come and visit me. Things hit the fan and the next morn was a wonderful shower. Son had a meeting with powers that be yesterday over issues. Do not know what was covered but am sure that the cow knows how to eat the cabbage. After 6 months I am still sleeping in my lift chair.They have not provided me with a elecytic lift bed per Drs orders. Do not know what Craig got done. Doctor got me off ot those awful pain pills that made me have nigt mares That put me another world. Put me on pain patch changed every three days It really works and I am in control of my life for now. I cannot stand lyers an dishonest people. If you have to go make sure you have a family member resposible They do feed me well snd make sure I get my meicine on time.gitrib

HAD A DIFFEREENT WORD FOR GRIPE AND IT GOT POOFED

My wife works at those assisted living places. She only gets min. wage. Even though they charge "clients" BIG money to stay there. There is alot of B.S. and lying going on from the managers !!!! at both of the places she's been at so far.

Lots of behind the scenes drama.

I wondered when the shine would wear off the nursing home for you. I have one that borders the back of my farm. It is as good as any but that still leaves a lot to be desired. The people working there get minimum wage and the owners charge full boat to everyone. BIG PROFITS!!!

I will not be put in one of them places!!! I have made it clear to all of my kids that I want to be left here at home until they need a hole to put me in. You can hire the same type of people that they have in the nursing homes to take care of you at home. The cost is about the same. The difference is that Uncle Sam will not pay for home health care but will pay for nursing home care. I wonder who lobbied for that gem of a rule??? So unless I live to a hundred I have tried to have the assets to provide for myself.

I have seen first hand the shenanigans that go on in those places. My grandmother was in one for recovery of a broken hip.....the fools damn near killed her.....she couldnt talk, eat, or move when we pulled her out of there......she was home 3.5 hrs and was FEEDING HERSELF, TALKING, AND MOVING AROUND IN A WHEEL CHAIR! Not a good place to be usually.....

I worked on the generators for nursing homes around Texas. Some I wouldn't put my dog in.Some were very good. The best one I worked at was a family run operation. Owner made the rounds every day.He would not put up with any abuse. Place was spotless. People had what ever they needed. Anyone breaking his rules was fired on the spot. State never had any problems with his operation. Paid very well.
