jd 4050 clock

Anyone know how to set the time on the overhead digital clock on a JD 4050.I just bought this tractor and there's nothing in the manaul about this.

Are you referring to the JD factory radio with the digital clock?? IIRC with the radio in the off position push the set button then use the volume knob to set hrs and the station knob to set the minutes.

My '91 model 4255 with a digital tachometer with a radar light doesn't have the clock you're referring to.

If it's like my 4650 there should be a hour button and minute button. Press and hold to set hour then minute.

I tried that.My clock may be bad.On the hour and minute button is yours smooth?I tried pressing where it says hour and min.I can't feel anythng,I just assumed that might be a button,not sure

That's the way mine was, you have to push extra hard on the buttons. You'll damn near push them through the plastic sometimes. And easy way is to disconnect the batteries at noon and it'll reset.
