RC toys excavating basement again

Can't help thinking with a lot of our labor force unemployed more of us have time to play. Ground's not frozen, imagine sitting inside by a window digging a fish pond in the back yard. How much do those toys cost?

I'm thinking mowing the yard krom the AC in the house, could'nt cost more than an air conditioned cab.

Pretty sure they're all custom-made. To get anything heavy enough to do real work with, you'd hafta build it yourself. Please correct me if I'm wrong...'cause I'd buy one!

If you have bottomless pockets I bet you could get a full size excavator remote controlled. That would be a lot more fun digging with. But at that price, I am sure it has an air-conditioned cab anyway.

Bobcat has a radio control option, dealer we where at looking at excavators had one. Underground continuos miners are remote/ radio controlled theyve been that way for years. Wouldnt be that hard to set up if you had deep pockets.

Way behind.. KUBOTA had on the open market a radio controled disel lawn mower for 4 or 5 years in late 80 s early 90s. We sold several to the government to mow slopes. Thing worked well amazing thing the reason they too them off the market some dealer had one in a perade and someway it failed and ran over some people. Kubota had to pay up so they quit marketing them. I got the last one manafactured and had to sign all sorts of waivers about future use.

Several years there was a demonstration of a backhoe loader tractor being operated over the internet. The operator got live webcamera pictures to see what he was doing.
